Please note Clinical Hypnotherapy is significantly different from Entertainment Hypnosis such as the current ITV's You're Back In The Room. As entertaining as it may or may not be, it is not Hypnotherapy and must never be confused with it since Clinical Hypnotherapists like myself have been working for many years to keep Hypnotherapy professional with clear standards of training, supervision and regulation.
Hypnosis is not Clinical Hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is simply a state that can be utilised for many purposes as one can see it can be used for entertainment purposes or it can be used to assist people clinically to overcome limiting patterns of thinking, feeling and acting. Basically Hypnosis in and of itself has no therapeutic value. It is how one utilises Hypnosis that is the key.
Clinical Hypnotherapists like myself use integrative psychotherapies combined with Hypnosis to change patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving within our clients.
I work with the client and the client is integral within the process of therapy. The client is not a subject to be operated upon with hypnotic commands. Instead the client is empowered as an active partner within the therapeutic process.
I provide a complete client centred and client tailored approach that puts the client in the driving seat with myself as a skilled navigator to allow the client to achieve what they want to achieve.
Integrative Hypnotherapists like myself have to be highly conversant and skilled in combining different therapeutic processes to allow the client to make efficient plus long lasting changes. None of this is "done" to the client. Instead the client is in full control of the change playing an integral part in the whole process.
