I have had this DVD set for awhile now. It is an excellent piece of work with is very well produced. It contains high quality DVD's on the subject of Hypnosis. It is called Hypnosis Installed which is a method whereby in watching others do Hypnosis the process and practice is also installed into one's own Unconscious Mind.
Remember Hypnosis is both bypassing the Conscious Critical Faculty and selective thinking which is mono ideaism.
The Critical Faculty can be explained in Layman's terms as a watchdog that guards the space between the Conscious Mind and the Unconscious Mind. It sits at the entrance as an internal filter and it monitors information that enters into the mind through the senses. Anything that does not match with current perceptions and belief patterns built up throughout one's personal history will be challenged and often rejected if it does not conform to the existing view of the world.
Between the ages of zero to seven (nine at the latest) anything that comes into our awareness whether positive or negative is accepted without question by the whole mind which naturally means the Unconscious Mind (what used to be termed the Subconscious Mind) is being filled with information some of which in fact quite a lot of which may not be conducive to our future well being as an adult. In the Imprinting Years the human mind can be likened to a sponge which soaks up anything and everything within our world. Thus until the age of seven perhaps at the latest nine years old the Conscious Critical Faculty has not developed fully enough to analyse and filter incoming information. However, after these years this internal filter is in place. That said unhelpful information can still be absorbed into the Unconscious Mind especially at times of high stress or trauma. Likewise information which could be very good for us can be rejected due to outdated and outmoded belief patterns.
The responsible and ethical Hypnotherapist will absorb the awareness of the person to be hypnotised, they will then bypass the Critical Faculty and achieve Selective Thinking at which point the Hypnotherapist can work with the client (subject) to install new helpful, positive and supportive patterns of thinking, feeling and acting in all the times, places and situations where the client had the problem in the past.
The Hypnotherapist and Client can work on the framing of suitable Hypnotic Suggestions prior to Hypnosis work being undertaken.
The DVD Hypnosis Installed is an excellent DVD especially for Hypnotherapists looking to see quick, effective and simple methods of Hypnosis being performed. It also contains a DVD on Hypnotic Symbolism which in my Hypnotherapy Practice I have found very useful. I highly recommend this DVD set.
I should add that my explanations are not Jonathan's. If you want to see and hear things first hand from the Master himself, then please see this video clip and if you like it which I am sure you will then go to his Hypnosis Installed website and invest in his brilliant product.

500,000 people accessed Clinical Hypnotherapy in the UK in one year alone. Note this is not the number of Hypnotherapists in the Uk but the number of people accessing Hypnotherapy services. I would estimate there may be between 7000 to 10,000 Hypnotherapists in the UK. One needs to be mindful that until 2010 Hypnotherapy was completely unregulated in the UK and now it is Voluntary Regulated. I would hope the general public become more aware that they should only be accessing Hypnotherapists that are on the CNHC Register. I am also concerned at the proliferation of Training Courses for Hypnotherapy. It is essential that there are minimum occupational standards and standardised criteria. Only in this manner will Hypnotherapy be able to maintain standards and recognition of worth.
That shows you that Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy and NLP are continuing to grow. One area that does concern me is the number of Downloads that are being made available. For sure Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Downloads can be helpful if they are well made. However, that said, they cannot replace highly skilled Hypnotherapists.
Many people it would seem are tempted to Download therapy but I have found that many people I have talked to do not listen to the Download on any consistent basis. Others have found that the voice or music on the Downloads does not suit them.
These criticisms aside what a Download cannot do is interact with you the client. There can be no History Take, there can be no Meta Questioning or Hypno Analysis. There can be no tailored Hypnotherapy in a Download. A Download can provide Suggestion Therapy but as any competent Hypnotherapist will tell you Suggestion Therapy is only useful for minor issues.
I suggest that if you want to use a Download you do so after having some sessions with a fully qualified and competent plus resourceful Clinical Hypnotherapist. They can then also point you in the right direction and recommend well made, carefully crafted Hypnotherapy Downloads that can further one's ability to make significant therapeutic change.
The sessions with the Clinical Hypnotherapist can include tailored therapy to get to the root cause of the Presenting Issue and then the Downloads can be used to reinforce change.
I personally do not produce Downloads at present but I can recommend some very good producers. However, I professionally would never recommend Downloads as a way to overcome any significant psychological issue.

I recently successfully completed a certified course in Rapid Inductions with the excellent Dominic Beirne School of Clinical Hypnosis & Psychotherapy. This intensive one day course took a range of Hypnotherapists through the principles and practice of eliciting Hypnotic phenomena within trance within seconds. Rapid Inductions are very good as they allow the Clinical Hypnotherapist to gain a level of Hypnotic Trance within the client or subject within short periods of time. This is better than having to spend ten or fifteen minutes on Inductions and Deepeners and much better than the long progressive muscular relaxation or long fractional Induction. Rapid Inductions get the client where they need to be effortlessly and easily to allow therapeutic change work to begin. Also within the trance state one can give Post Hypnotic Triggers and Post Hypnotic Suggestions. The Post Hypnotic Trigger can be a cue word such as "sleep" which will allow the person within Hypnosis to re enter into a trance state to the same or similar level as when the Post Hypnotic Trigger is suggested by the Hypnotherapist.
For example I give my clients Post Hypnotic Triggers that when I say the word sleep their eyelids will automatically close on down, their heavy head will fall forward and that will be a sign and a signal to go deeper and deeper. I always get agreement from the Conscious and Unconscious (Subconscious) minds that this suggestion is acceptable and then I have them open their eyes on a count of 1 to 3 and then I use the trigger word and test my work to see that what I have suggested within Hypnosis does occur. This is vital so that I know without any doubt that my Hypnotic Suggestions have taken root and the seed or seeds have been planted within the fertile Unconscious Mind. I can then give Post Hypnotic Suggestions for confidence, motivation, removal of a phobia etc and I can be much more sure that those suggestions will be carried out within the client's everyday waking state.
Of course I can always test by calibration. I can gauge a client's non verbal physiology prior to my treatments by asking a series of questions with regard to their Presenting Issue (where they are currently stuck in their lives) and then after completion of my work I can test again by asking the same questions and noting their non verbal physiology once more.
For example if they had a phobia of dogs at the start and I asked them to see a dog in the room and get a sense of what it would look like, plus get back any associated thoughts and feelings about dogs I can note the client's breath rate, skin tone, tension in their muscles, eye blink rate etc. After completion of my work I can test again by asking them the exact same questions with regard to dogs and if I see that they are breathing much more calmly, their skin tone is not flushed or excessively pale, their muscles are relaxed and free of tension then I can be much more certain that they will think, feel and behave around dogs in a much more appropriate manner with that old fear significantly reduced. Note well this is just one small example of the type of work that I do. I can of course use a full range of Hypnotherapy methods to treat Presenting Issues including Phobias for example the Fast Phobia Cure from NLP it is just one of the advanced methods I am trained within.
Now back to Rapid Inductions within the inducing of trance as a Clinical Hypnotherapist I will use trance ratifiers within the process. So I can have the client imagine that their eyelids remain closed on down and that they cannot open them and then test for that and make sure that what has been suggested happens. I can test for heaviness in the arms after giving Hypnotic Suggestions for that and test again to find that the client's arms are relaxed and heavy by lifting up their arms by their hands. Of course I ask my client's if I can pick up their hands and get permission verbally prior to doing this. Yes you can be within Hypnosis and still be able to speak with your normal speaking voice whilst remaining within that trance state. If I notice the clients hands are heavy I can give suggestions that as the hands drop the client goes deeper and deeper. All the time watching the physiology to see observable signs that client is responding to suggestion in the manner outlined.
Rapid Inductions with Post Hypnotic Triggers means that the client can be taken into trance to the same depth as originally elicited within seconds and this therefore means that a sixty minute session of Clinical Hypnotherapy can be ninety nine percent therapy and not long drawn out tedious methods of inducing Hypnosis.
Make it quick, make it efficient and above all give the client an experience!

I am once again seeing much more clients. This is all good news. In case you did not know there is a difference between relaxation therapy, visualisation even creative visualisation and real Hypnosis plus Hypnotherapy! Real Hypnosis is very very different to Creative Visualisation or Guided Imagery.
For example I always use Hypnotic Testing creating relaxation in the eyelids until they simply will not open no matter how hard you try. Or I might stick a hand to a forehead and then ask you to pull it off and find you cannot. Or I might have you imagine magnets in the palm of your hands with a strong attracting magnetic force and you find your hands being drawn together as if by magic.
For what reason do I make use of these and other Hypnotic Tests. Well in the words of my Mentor Dominic Beirne who I always give credit to (remember credit always where credit is due) Give THEM AN EXPERIENCE not an EXPLANATION!
This is what he says and he is right. I want to create a lasting impression in your mind of a totally different state of Mind, Body and Spirit! One which changes the way you think, feel and act for all times to come. The A Ha Experience!
That helps to convince you and quite rightly so that you have entered into a trance and from there you can begin to make all the positive, life supporting changes for your total well being with my powerful Hypnotic Suggestions and carefully tailored Clinical Hypnotherapy. I can also monitor and test that if you have accepted Hypnotic Tests successfully then you will accept Hypnotic Suggestions equally successfully.
There is a lot more to the skills, knowledge and experience that I utilise with my clients including Rapid Inductions where you go into trance at the drop of a hat (or an arm at that). Some Hypnotherapists I am led to believe can take twenty minutes or more to get a working depth of trance. I can get a deeper state within seconds and I can then spend your valuable time and mine working with the Hypnotherapeutic Interventions to affect change at the deepest level of your inner being.
There are many models of Hypnotherapy, NLP as well as EMDR and EFT I can work with. However, these are just strategies. My real skill lies in being very intuitive and being able to release negative thoughts, feelings and actions from you within a safely controlled exchange at an energetic level where our Unconscious Minds communicate through the medium of Hypnosis.
This is powerful work and it generates very powerful results. Experience true Clinical Hypnotherapy with me now at www.hypnotherapywarwickshire.com Or see much more of my work here on this website Douglas Clark Hypnosis & Psychotherapy
